Why do I continue to find dentistry so fulfilling?
I have been in practice for more than 30 years, and I still get excited about coming into the office each day. Being a dentist brings me into contact with people of all ages, from all backgrounds. Getting to know them and connect with them is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I am starting to see the third and fourth generations of some families — it is truly an honor to be entrusted with their care.
Where did I go to school?
I’m a graduate of Springfield High School. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Akron in 1984, received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Ohio State University in 1988, and did an Advanced General Dentistry Residency at Ohio State in 1989.
My education continues to this day so I can keep up with the latest research, products, and procedures in an ever-changing field. I am an active member of the American and Ohio Dental Associations and the Akron Dental Society.
What do I like to do outside the office?
I spend lots of time with my family: Susie, my wife of 32 years, and our two daughters — Hollie, a dentist who has joined my practice, and Christina, a registered nurse. I like hunting, fishing, and going for motorcycle and bicycle rides. I also enjoy watching our local sports teams. Go Buckeyes!
